Peace and Interfaith Harmony

Peace is the only way to conquer hearts and minds especially when it comes to interfaith harmony particularly in a milieu of religious pluralism. Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) furthers the idea of interfaith and intra-faith harmony at national and global level through dialogues and organizing activities which strengthens the national identity and remove prejudices that give rise to hatred and conflict.

Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) has been a partner and curator in the international conferences related to the subject of peace and interfaith harmony, such as:

3rd Annual World Alliance of Religious Peace (WRAP) Summit 2017

 

Everyone has a role in the peace building process, this Summit acted as platform for all groups to share ideas and create concrete (success plans/ways of reaching goals) for developing cooperation for peace. As WRAP 2017 focus was “Together for Peace as Messengers of Peace”, which shows the strong desire/formal decision about working together for a world of peace and ending of war. In today’s interconnected (community of people/all good people in the world), complete and thorough cooperation among different parts/areas is extremely important for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful future. Three important things were focus of WARP Summit 2017 including beginning and building on groups and networks, Working Well Together Authority, and Control for Peace.  For this reason, different sessions and panel discussions were held to allow government representatives and actors to share their thoughts and give suggestions (related to/looking at/thinking about) tile (moving ahead or up) of the DPCW.

Peace messengers from around the world form the platform of World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit 2017, and extended their full support for the implementation of Declaration of the Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW).

Over 1,000 leaders and citizens came together for three days of intensive networking and celebration while developing an action agenda for world peace and cessation of war that reflects global citizens’ hopes and aspirations.

Peace Conference of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light (HWPL)

Amna Malik with the Member National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar in Peace Conference of HWPL, who has been making sincere efforts to highlight the case of Kashmiri Muslims. Dr Kumar has also been a staunch advocate of interfaith harmony and condemned Indian government’s preferential treatment of Indian Muslims in the country. Dr Ramesh Kumar praised the efforts of Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) and it leadership for forging grounds of religious harmony and peace in Pakistan.

GLOBAL PEACE AMIDST WAR AND CONFLICT

The President of Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) Amna Malik, and Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal (Advisor COPAIR on National Security and Foreign Policy) contributed in an international conference titled “Global Peace amidst War and Conflict” on the 17th-18th September 2019 organized by, the Center for Peace, Security and Development Studies (CPSD). The conference held in in Islamabad and its focus of discussion was arrays of critical dimensions namely, the evolving global order, geo-politics and transforming statecraft, transforming socio-economic order, and international security in modern times.

Man Hee Lee’s endeavors for World Peace

Center of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR) joined hands with Mr Man Hee Lee, the Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, (rebuilding/renewal) of Light (HWPL), a non-(money made/good thing received), non-governmental organization with the goal of (accomplishing or gaining with effort) world peace and is the world’s largest peace NGO. He is pushing ahead with the (putting into) use of a new International Law on the Ending of War, leading peaceful movements to end religious conflicts in Mindanao, Philippines, and completing never-before-seen (challenging things accomplished or completed) as a person (not in the military). The current leaders of countries met him, shared their candid views for accomplishing peace, and promised to participate in all peace activities of HWPL. Chairman Lee suggests a solution for the ending of war and (action of accomplishing or completing something challenging) of world peace, two things that seem impossible to reach, in a simple and clear way. On March 14, Chairman Man Hee Lee announced the (official, public statement/document with such a statement) of Peace and Ending of War. The event was the core of his peace movements held in Seoul, Republic of South Korea, with more than 1,000 people in attendance, including professors of international law, representatives of youth and women NGOs, ministers of foreign affairs, foreign representatives in South Korea and people from media.

Women’s Role for Peace and Interfaith Harmony

We believe in women empowerment and women strong role for peace and interfaith harmony. The main focus of seminar was to campaigning for the importance of harmonious life among believers of different faiths and seeks their commitment to promote and ensure the interfaith cooperation.
